Information collected while using the application
With your prior permission, the Application may collect information such as images from your device's camera and photo library to provide certain features.
This information may be used to provide, improve, and personalize the Service. You can enable or disable this permission at any time in your device settings.
Health and activity data in the mobile app (client application)
In the Diette client mobile application, we may request the accesses described below under the standard permissions and data types offered by the operating system and platforms (for example Health Connect and similar frameworks on Android, and the HealthKit-compatible ecosystem on iOS) in order to provide personalized nutrition plans, daily energy balance summaries, and progress tracking. Processing is based primarily on your explicit consent and on the performance of the contract between you and us, in line with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR Articles 6 and 9 where health data is involved). You may withdraw permissions at any time in the app or device settings; certain features may then be partially or fully unavailable.
Read permissions allow us to import measurements already stored on your device or in linked health apps. Write permissions may be used to synchronize or write back records created or updated in the app to the health repository you authorize, or to present a consistent summary. Data is processed only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy; we do not sell or transfer it to third parties to build advertising profiles.
health.READ_STEPS — Read (step count)
If you allow your daily step count to be read, we use your activity level together with energy expenditure estimates and nutrition suggestions to keep plans realistic and within safe bounds. Processing is based on contract performance and your consent; when transmitted to Diette infrastructure, data is protected using encryption and access controls.
health.READ_HEART_RATE — Read (heart rate)
Reading heart rate can help contextualize exercise intensity, rest, and workload so that suggestions on hydration and meal timing are more accurate. Such data may qualify as health-related data and is processed only if you accept the in-app information and consent screens; if you withdraw consent, the related reading stops.
health.READ_DISTANCE — Read (distance)
Reading distance travelled supports estimates of energy expenditure linked to walking, running, and similar activities, and helps build progress summaries. The purpose is performance of the service contract and personalization of your tracking experience.
health.READ_ACTIVE_CALORIES_BURNED — Read (active calories)
Reading active calories burned supports daily energy balance summaries and context for your dietitian or automated recommendation modules. Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service and is not used for unrelated purposes.
health.WRITE_STEPS — Write (step count)
Writing step data may be used to keep in-app or corrected step information aligned with the health repository you authorize, reduce conflicts with other apps on your device, or consolidate manual entries. Processing is based on contract performance and your consent; the scope of writes is limited to what the operating system permits.
health.WRITE_HEART_RATE — Write (heart rate)
Writing heart rate data may be used to write back records generated or approved in the app to the health repository and to maintain a consistent health summary. Health-related processing is carried out only on the basis of explicit consent and contract performance.
health.WRITE_DISTANCE — Write (distance)
Writing distance data may be used to align in-app activity records with the authorized health framework and to ensure consistent display on summary screens.
health.WRITE_ACTIVE_CALORIES_BURNED — Write (active calories)
Writing active calories may be used to transfer exercise or energy expenditure records you approve from the app to the health repository and to preserve the integrity of daily summaries; processing is based on explicit consent and contract performance.
ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION — System (activity recognition)
This system-level permission helps detect your physical activity state (for example whether you are walking). It can reduce noise in step and energy calculations, limit unnecessary background measurements, and improve battery efficiency. Permission names and scope may vary by Android version; on versions below Android 9, additional system-level requirements may apply for activity recognition. Processing is limited to contract performance, legitimate interests of the controller where permitted, and explicit consent where required; device manufacturers' policies may also apply.
BODY_SENSORS — System (body sensors)
Body sensor access may be required on supported devices to read heart rate and similar biometric measurements from hardware sensors. Such data is processed only in the context of nutrition and wellness tracking, to support safer diet plans and recommendation boundaries; the scope is not expanded without your explicit consent, and health-related processing follows applicable legal conditions (including Article 9 GDPR where relevant).
Each permission above is described separately with its legal basis. If permission names or technical identifiers change due to platform updates, an updated list reflecting the same purpose and scope will be published on this page.
